Attractions
Scarborough Castle (W) - just a short walk from Phoenix Court, Scarborough Castle is perched high on the headland, offering great views and lots to see.
Sea Life Centre (W) - you can walk to this along the north bay or take the North Bay Railway.
Peasholm Park (W) - an oriental themed park offering streams, waterfalls, mini bridges and gardens. There's a boating lake and also the famous naval warfare events.
South Cliff Gardens (W) - coastal gardens along the south bay, including the Italian Gardens.
Scampston Walled Gardens - a stunning walled garden, just a 30 minute drive from Scarborough (or an easy bus route).
Dalby Forest - There's a network of paths and cycle tracks here, as well as GoApe. You can drive, or take the Moorsbus, which will also take you all around the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.
