The three closest beaches are all listed and recommended on the Marine Conservation Society Website.

North Bay, Scarborough

North Bay Beach, Scarborough  (w) Phoenix Court overlooks the north bay and is only a short walk from the beach.  You’ll see surfers out in the sea at all times of year.  When the tides out it’s a wide expanse of sandy beach and an excellent place for rock pooling.

South Bay Beach, Scarborough (w) a sandy family beach, home  of donkey rides, sand castle competitions, Beached music festival and many other things.

Cayton Bay just south of Scarborough off the Filey Road, this beach is home to more surfers but also bird watchers and fossil hunters.  You can walk to this beach as part of the Cleveland Way walk, but if you drive there is easy parking.
